World of Game Design (“WOGD”) has created the ZWEIHÄNDER Reforged Edition tabletop role-playing game, published by World of Game Design in 2024 (“ZWEIHÄNDER Reforged”). Subject to the terms of this license agreement, you may create your own tabletop role-playing game supplements that are compatible with ZWEIHÄNDER Reforged. A supplement is defined as a publication that includes adventures, characters, modules, setting material, and rules additions and requires the ZWEIHÄNDER Reforged core game to be used. By creating such a supplement, you agree to these terms:

1. LICENSE. WOGD hereby grants you a worldwide, perpetual, non-exclusive right to create, sell, publish, and distribute tabletop role-playing game supplements that are explicitly compatible with ZWEIHÄNDER Reforged (your “Supplement”) in printed form, as a PDF, or as a virtual tabletop module (“VTT”). VTTs do not include NFTs or video games. This agreement applies to all Supplements based on the first edition of ZWEIHÄNDER Revised Core Rulebook, Main Gauche, Dark Astral, ZWEIHÄNDER Starter Kit, and the ZWEIHÄNDER Reforged Edition (“Game Line”). Supplements based on any future editions are subject to separate licensing requirements. So long as you comply with the terms of this agreement, this license is irrevocable. If you breach the terms of this agreement, this license terminates automatically.

2. SCOPE OF LICENSE. This agreement permits you to create a Supplement based on the Game Line rules but not to include a copy of those rules with your Supplement. You may reference the Game Line, including using terminology, the names of creatures, characters, and locations from across the Game Line in your Supplement, so long as you do not use them in your title. You must explicitly state that your publication is a third-party Supplement for ZWEIHÄNDER Reforged, for example, on the back cover, on sales platforms, and in promotional material.

3. LOGO. You must place the Compatible With ZWEIHÄNDER logo (the “Logo”) on any Supplement you create using this license. The Logo must be placed on the lower half of the front cover and may not be wider than half the cover's width, as provided here.

4. RULE MODIFICATIONS. The purpose of this license is to encourage you to create third party publications compatible with the Game Line and other creators’ publications. You may include new additions to the Game Line rules in your Supplement, subject to the following limitation: (i) your Supplement may not replace primary attributes, secondary attribute bonuses, skills, die types, or create standalone core rulebooks. You are allowed to add optional rules, new ancestries, professions, talents, spells, monsters, weapons, armor, equipment, afflictions, scars, injuries, fight actions, malignancies, world, characters, stories, adventures, campaigns, and new rules for anything not covered by the Game Line. Your Supplement cannot be stand stand-alone game meant to compete with ZWEIHÄNDER Reforged or the Game Line.

5. EXCLUSIONS. Except as expressly permitted herein, you may not use any of WOGD’s brands or logos except as set forth in section 3 above.

6. OWNERSHIP OF ZWEIHÄNDER Reforged. You agree that WOGD owns all rights in the Game Line and that you will not contest those rights. WOGD expressly reserves all rights not expressly granted in this agreement.

7. OWNERSHIP OF YOUR SUPPLEMENT. You own all rights in any Supplement you make under this agreement. WOGD may not copy or use your Supplement without your permission. But you acknowledge that WOGD may independently create something similar to your Supplement and that it is not prohibited from doing so unless it knowingly and intentionally copied your original work.

8. NOTICE. You must include a notice on the credits page of your Supplement and any website or advertising material associated therewith that states that your Supplement is not sponsored or endorsed by WOGD and that you are using ZWEIHÄNDER Reforged under license. We recommend “This Supplement was created under the Powered by ZWEIHÄNDER Reforged Edition Third Party Supplement License.”

9. RESTRICTIONS. Except as expressly permitted in this agreement, you may not state or imply that WOGD endorses, sponsors, or is affiliated with your Supplement.

10. REPRESENTATIONS. You represent and warrant that you have the capacity to enter into this agreement, that your Supplement does not violate or infringe the rights of any third party, and that your Supplement complies with all applicable laws, rules, and regulations in every jurisdiction in which it is distributed.

11. DISCLAIMER. WOGD IS PROVIDING ZWEIHÄNDER REFORGED “AS IS,” MAKES NO REPRESENTATIONS OR WARRANTIES EXCEPT AS EXPRESSLY STATED IN THIS AGREEMENT, AND DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS, IMPLIED, STATUTORY, OR OTHERWISE. WOGD has no liability for your use of the Game Line and, in addition, you expressly waive any claim for any indirect, punitive, special, exemplary, incidental, or consequential damages.

12. MISCELLANEOUS. This is the entire agreement of the parties relating to the subject matter hereof, and you agree that you have not relied on any terms or representations other than those expressly stated herein. WOGD may update this agreement at its sole discretion, but you will continue to have the right to use ZWEIHÄNDER Reforged under the terms of this agreement or any subsequently published version of this agreement at your sole discretion. No joint venture, partnership, employment, or agency relationship exists between you and WOGD as a result of this agreement. WOGD’s failure to exercise any right or provision in this agreement shall not constitute a waiver unless expressly acknowledged and agreed to by WOGD in writing.
